SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE AND LIVELIHOODS

Agriculture is still the main pillar of the Cameroonian economy and the most important employer for the very poor. For this reason, improving on agriculture production in a sustainable manner will directly impact the 51 percent of Cameroonians who currently live under the poverty line, over 80% of whom depend on subsistence farming for livelihoods.

By carrying out trainings on improved livestock and crop production techniques especially amongst the rural poor, DEH will be supporting the Cameroon government to fight poverty, build sustainable livelihoods and advance towards the attainment of the sustainable development goals.
